What is the best way to use Google Images?

Leigh- You can't just take pictures from Google Images without citing the owner and location, but it needs to be released for use and attribution.
Use the advanced search option in Google Images to find images under these restrictions.
At the minimum, cite the author of the picture, the web location, and when you accessed the photo.
Be very cautious about using trademarked or licensed images (Disney, Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers, etc etc)
Flickr and Creative Commons
or WikiMedia Commons are better locations to search for pictures.

Microsoft Images
can be used freely for education, just give them credit.
Microsoft Service Agreement http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/tou.aspx
"If you have a valid license to Office, you can use the clips:
  1. Personal items
  2. Business items, under the following restrictions:
    1. The clip should not be used as a part of your logo.
    2. If you are selling an item which depicts the clip, the clip cannot be the primary value of the item ( you cannot sell a clipart collection or sell a book of just clipart, etc)"

Kristin--do we really have to cite Microsoft for clipart? I never see any citations and I see Microsoft Clip Art often used. I have used it because I thought it was for personal use. What would be sufficient for use>
